Top national outlets highlight the British government’s newly released report — coined by the Washington Post as a ‘scathing assessment’ — which spells out security risks posed by Chinese telecom giant Huawei to the country’s telecommunications infrastructure.

This marks the second consecutive year that the Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ), the British spy agency equivalent to the U.S. National Security Agency, has voiced serious concerns regarding Huawei and, this time around, comes on the heels of a “full-court press” of the United States to ban Huawei from future 5G networks and preserve national security.
