NEW: Protect America’s Wireless on FCC Stopping T-Mobile/Sprint Shot Clock Again

Washington, D.C. — Today, after the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) announced it will pause the shot clock on the proposed T-Mobile/Sprint merger again, Protect America’s Wireless released the following statement:

“The FCC has stopped the clock because growing numbers of congressional leaders and national security experts are asking whether the merger should be stopped once and for all. Rather than provide answers, T-Mobile and Sprint keep inventing ‘new’ reasons to buy the same old excuses for this mega-merger. They won't acknowledge that the merger harms competition, threatens Americans’ privacy and our national security, and risks deeper entanglement with their foreign parent companies which dodge the question of what role Huawei could play in their proposed 5G buildout around the world. The FCC, Department of Justice, Congress, and state regulators should continue to investigate this merger.”
