Post House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee Hearing, National Security Questions Remain for Sprint/T-Mobile Execs

This morning, Members of the House Energy and Commerce subcommittee convened to discuss the proposed Sprint/T-Mobile merger and question Sprint/T-Mobile executives on potential impacts if the transaction is approved.

Committee Members raised important questions regarding merger impacts on consumer prices, job losses, and rural broadband access, but critical national security questions still linger, specifically on Sprint, T-Mobile, and their parent companies’ entangled histories with Huawei and ZTE technologies.

After the hearing, Protect America’s Wireless released a list of questions for which T-Mobile/Sprint executives owe the American public answers.
