Reuters: Once Huawei Latches On, They Never Let Go
T-Mobile and Sprint Remain Firmly in their Grip
WASHINGTON, DC -- Reuters reports that AT&T Chief Executive Randall Stephenson said that China’s telecom giant Huawei, known for its long track record of cyber espionage, is making it very difficult for European carriers to drop Huawei for next-generation 5G buildouts.
All of this teaches an obvious lesson: once Huawei latches on, they never let go. It also raises an interesting question: Could this be why Sprint has never disclosed whether it complied with the CFIUS requirement to pull Huawei from its network in 2013?
